 What
constitutes bad behavior?Using an image of mine without
getting explicit, written permission for the image involved. (I do occasionally consent -
in writing - to having an image of mine displayed on another web site, etc.)
Altering an image/writing of mine - OR - claiming an image/writing of mine
as YOUR own work.
Taking images from my Art Gallery and offering them on your web site as
"free wallpaper" or "free artwork". This is forbidden. These images
are NOT free nor can they be "offered" elsewhere!
Not having paid for an images use if the image is to be used for
commercial purposes.
(Commercial means the web site is being opperated by/as a business.)
Not linking back via a hyperlink and one of my graphics on the *same* web
page you use my images/writings. This is only fair, it is how I attract the paying
customers!
Stealing bandwidth by linking to my - or anyone else's - graphics
Publishing unkind things about this web site if you have used my graphics
with permission.
What the Wieners can expect:
If you should unwittingly perform these grievances, you will be advised by
e-mail, and given a chance to do the right thing. Should you not comply within 48 hours,
you will be a Wiener.
A detailed accounting of your offense, as well as any pertaining e-mail
will be posted for all to see. Your e-mail address will be hotlinked, and my
wonderful visitors and fellow web artists will be encouraged to write to you about your
tasteless conduct. I will contact your webmaster or the administrator of your server and
detail your behavior to him or her. I reserve the right to file suit for monetary
damages against yourself and your service provider for copyright infringement if
corrective measures are not taken. Should corrective actions be taken, all
mention will be removed and you will no longer be considered a Wiener. All mention of your
once having been a Wiener will be removed from the this web site.
The granting of the Ruby Raspberry is not announced to its Wieners. The
review of your lack of good manners will simply be detailed on the Wiener's page, for
everyone to see. I am a polite person - if I have corresponded with you about the
offense, and you have not understood why what you are doing constitutes Tasteless Net
Conduct, or you do not reply to my inquiries by making the necessary changes, you
relinquish the rights of civilized Net behavior. You are simply a Wiener. |
